Gommaar Gilliams is a Belgian artist who creates large scale (usually 150cm x 200cm) paintings on fabrics stitched together. The scale, colour palette and painterliness of his work (gestural and layered / textured) is very appealing, and I have chosen to include his work purely for aesthetic reasons.
